Creative Director & Instructor

A type-obsessed creative director on the edge of print/digital publishing, Kirstin Thomas has provided award-winning design services to a number of high-profile firms for close to twenty years. Kirstin combines a strong tradition in branding & marketing design with a hands-on, integrated understanding of online web and print design. She is able to deliver powerful communication solutions that successfully bring clients’ brands to life.

Melissa Garrett


Moxie has spent the last 12 years leading print, digital & mobile strategy for large brands across a broad spectrum of industries. She’s been involved in the architecting and implementation of digital programs and shepherding many brands into the digital age including CIBC, Molson Canada, Chrysler, Toronto 2015 (PanAm Games), Canadian Tire, SportChek, Workopolis & General Mills.

Emma Blackburn

Group Director, Accounts & Creative Services

Emma has worked for a variety of organizations, including ZOOM Media and Canadian Broadcast Centre and has managed a number of accounts including Air Canada, Canadian Tire, Coca-Cola, and IBM. Emma’s twenty years in the advertising industry has armed her with an in-depth knowledge of strategic marketing and communication concepts and their methodologies.

Jane McIver

Copy writer

Jane is a wordsmith with a head for business. She is a writer, an editor and a client relationship manager. Fundamentally, Jane is a specialist in the field of communications. In a previous role, Jane managed the day-to-day production of all advertising and marketing materials for York University’s Schulich School of Business.

Msafiri Ismail


With 10 years experience, Msafiri Ismail is well versed in MYSQL, PHP, Javascript, Jquery and CSS applications. A proficiency in Database Management Systems (MySql, Oracle 10g, SQL Server) and programming languages (C/C++, Java, Visual Basic 6.0, C#.NET 2005 with Crystal Reports, Prolog).
